  1. No one is really going to know why your rat was eaten, however, it is likely that she died, and the other rats cannibalized her. It is a natural instinct for rodents to eat "buddies" that have died. It the wild it would serve the purpose of keeping the den clean and safe from wild animals(as the smell may attract predators).

    It is very rare for rats to kill each other. I would go with the theory that she died, and they relied on a natural instinct to protect their home.
